About me!
YO! My name is Dominic Baidoo, and I am a Bristol-based 2D animator, concept artist and an MA Animation graduate from UWE Bristol.
I previously studied BA (Hons) Animation, including a period of study at Tokyo Zokei University in Japan, which broadened my creative approach and perspective
My professional experience includes an internship at Distortion Studios (where I worked as a storyboard artist and revisionist), alongside industry experience with Aardman and Second Home Studios. A three-year scholarship with Studio Giggle allowed me to develop my practice alongside industry professionals, and I continue to receive mentorship from the studio. I have also contributed to Afro Story Summit, further developing my experience in storytelling and creative development.
My work focuses on dynamic character animation, storyboarding and digital illustration. I am interested in working with animation studios across the UK and internationally, where I can contribute my skills and continue to develop my practice.
In the longer term, I would like to establish my own animation studio, creating opportunities to develop original work and collaborate with other artists.
